The Young Africans Club has today launched the Club’s official website which will make it easier for Members, Fans and Lovers of Young Africans SC to access information and various content of our Club.

Young Africans Sports Club, popularly known as Yanga, was officially registered by the government authorities and recognized on February 11, 1935. But the official history of the Yanga club began in the early 1920s, when the youth of Dar es Salaam were gathering at the stadiums Wilderness for sports activities.
The young men started a football team called Jangwani Boys, and in 1926 a meeting was held for all the stakeholders of Jangwani Boys which had gained great popularity where they chose Tabu Mangala who was a very influential person for the Port Workers who called themselves Talian.
The meeting changed the name of the club and united Talian and Jangwani Boys and called it the Navigation club especially after the great influence of the people who were Port workers, the name Navigation did not last long after Hayati Abeid Aman Karume saw that the name did not bring the meaning that they intended during the invitation of Easter Viwani Zanzibar team returned to Dar es Salaam and accepted the name New Youngs 1930.
