Mkuranga District is one of the 9 Coastal Region Districts. It is located between latitude 6o.35 o and 7o.15o South of the Equator; and Longitude 38o.15o and 39o.30o East Meridian. Mkuranga District is bordered by Temeke District on the North side, Ilala on the North West side, on the South side it is bordered by Kibiti District, on the East side it is bordered by the Indian Ocean and on the West side it is bordered by Kisarawe District.
