PCI is a non-profit organization dedicated to preventing diseases, improving community health, and promoting sustainable development worldwide. With support from United States Department-of Agriculture (USDA), PCI Tanzania will be implementing the final phase of Food for Education (FFE) programming in the Mara region (2017-2021). The goal of the program is to improve literacy among primary school students, and increased use of health and dietary practices.

PCI is announcing Open vacancies

To drive PCI Vehicles in Town and to the Field while strictly observing Local Laws and PCI Policy and Regulations relative to the use of the PCI Vehicles. To facilitate planned maintenance, routine service and minor repairs to the assigned vehicle.


• Manage and drive PCI Vehicles to which s/he is assigned in accordance with Local Laws and PCI~ Policy relative to the use of the PCI vehicles and as specified by Supervisor

• Inspect the vehicle before and after a journey to ensure that it is in a good condition in

• To verify records of all work done on each vehicle and on the respective job cards

• In collaboration with Field driver assist them on request motor Vehicle (road) licence when expire

• To carry out any other Office activities as assigned by Supervisor including errands to the Banks, the airport, the Post Office, etc.

Required Qualifications:

• Secondary School Education Level

• Advanced Driver's Certificate Grade Two from the National Institute of Transport (NIT)"Qr Vocational Education Training Authority (VETA)

• Advanced Driver's Certificate Grade One from the National Institute of Transport (NIT) or Vocational Education Training Authority (VETA) as an added advantage

• Certificate of Motor Vehicle Mechanics Grade II as an added advantage

• Valid and accident free Class' C Tanzania Driver's License Ability to speak and write in both English and Kiswahili

• At least three years' work experience in Vehicle Driving and Mechanics with other International NGOs or similar Organizations

• Women are highly recommended and encouraged to apply as well


Mara Regional Finance Manager

Mara Regional Finance Manager (1)

The Mara Regional Finance Manager will provide day to day financial support and oversight to the PCl/Tanzania project staff at the Regional office based in Musoma. The Mara Regional Finance Manager will report to the Program

Director and technically reporting to Director of Finance & Administration with direct work relationship with the Senior Finance Officer based in Dar es Salaam


Facilitate Payments

• Oversee the petty cash management by Finance Assistant,

• Oversee and review payment requests and petty cash vouchers

• Ensure vendor payments are processed in a timely and organized manner


• Manage the accounting register and day to day accounting functions for financial operators for PCl/Tanzania

• Monitor the correct use of PCI funds to the corresponding accounts

• Assist with development and production of financial reports

• Maintain updated, organized, secure filing and storage of financial documents

Financial Oversight

• Ensure financial transactions are executed in compliance with policies, regulations and procedures of PCI and the donor agency

• Ensure documentation of all financial transactions are accurate, complete, logical, and transparent

• Monitor and ensure the timely reconciliation of staff and activity advances

• Submit periodic reports and supporting documents to Country Office as required

Grants Management

• Assist in assessing the financial and administrative requirement for sub awardees.

• Provide training and technical support to sub awardee staff to improve financial systems.

• Supervise and train the sub award, finance staff in donor rules and regulations and financial reporting.

• Ensure that sub awardee 'provide their reports accurately and on time.

Liaison with External lnstitutions

• Facilitate bank transaction including cash withdrawals and deposits, collection of bank statements, facilitation of official communication between PCI and bank(s)

Other Financial Support

• Provide other support as needed to the Director of Finance & Administration and the Country Director

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, financial management or a related field coupled with experience in similar operations.

• Candidates with an MBA, CPA, ACCA, and or CMA will have added advantage.
